Milestone. Late C18 - early C19. Painted granite monolith; about one metre
high, with rounded head. Carved and painted lettering in upper case with
serifs and Roman numerals: ST AUSTEL II MILE TRURO XII. In the Roman
numerals for St Austell, the second stoke is half length, meaning 1 1/2
miles.
