NY 35 SW THURSBY Thursby

10/69 Outbuilding to north of Whitegates II

Farmhouse now outbuilding and garage. Late C17 with additions dated 1731 over entrance with initials J. & J.H. Whitewashed clay walls repaired with sandstone and brick, on large plinth stones, walls raised in height with sandstone, Welsh slate roof, brick chimney stacks. 1½ storeys, 5 bays; end bay right, now garage, is an C18 stone extension. Plank door in painted stone surround, dated and inscribed lintel. 2-pane sash windows in painted stone surrounds. Original small chamfered-surround fire window to left of entrance. Garage with large plank doors. C18 outshut to rear.
