Lodge and adjoining gates and gatepiers. Probably c. 1825 as the lodge to
Brockley Hall (q.v.). Rendered with freestone dressings; roof concealed behind
plain entablature and blocking course. The centre has 2 glazing bar sash
windows in moulded architraves and with panelled aprons; flanked by plain
pilasters; dentilled cornice. To the right is a panelled door in a doorcase
with plain pilasters. To the left is a plain door. Projecting from the left
are 2 panelled, ashlar gatepiers surmounted by heraldic beasts supporting arms;
between are wrought iron gates with Greek Revival details such as anthemion and
paterae; spear finials.
