1865-67. Shallow crescent of nineteen houses, now various hotels. Ashlar with rusticated
ground floors, mostly painted. Three storeys and attic, two windows to each house (1),
four to central house. Porches have flat entablature on columns with floral capitals;
some retain large pineapple finials. Attics of central five and end houses have tall
stone gabled dormers with broken segmental pediments. Some houses retain lower
gabled dormers with broken pediments. Front to sea imposing and less altered.
