GV II

Range of farm buildings, including shippons, stables and barn. Dated VR and AR 1857,
with few later alterations. Elvan and slatestone rubble with brick and stone
dressings. Slate roofs with ridge tiles and gable ends.
Plan: The farm buildings are attached to the right side of Gusti Vean Farmhouse,
forming a U-plan enclosing a farm yard, with an entrance with gate piers. The main
range is a 2-storey L-plan; 5 openings at first floor with cambered brick arches.
Ground floor has door and 2 windows to left with window and 2 doors to right, all
with cambered stone arches. Door to end left with brick arch and datestone set at
ground floor level, recessed with raised initials and crown. Front wing to left with
hipped roof, door and window at ground and first floor, all with brick arches.
Attached to front left a single storey range with central door with cambered stone
arch, 6-pane light to right and left with cambered brick arches. Single storey range
to right with alternating doors and windows with brick arches. Straight joint to the
end range with a door, which is returned to right to enclose the yard with a further
single storey range with 2 doors.
At the entrance to the yard there is a pair of square stone gate piers, one attached
at the front gable end of the farmhouse.
