Pair of Peckforton Estate Cottages, circa 1860. Brown brick with tile
roof. Single storey and attic, 2 bays to each cottage. Flush
sandstone plinth. Internal porches with elliptical arches and ledged
and battened entrance doors, with false strap hinges, at the sides.
2-or-3-light cast iron lattice casement windows with stone sills and
deep skewback stone heads. The upper windows are in gabled dormers,
with lightly timbered apexes, and the gable ends. Diagonally set
individual flues rising from weathered stone band at ridge level.
Wide overhanging main gables with shaped purlins and plastered raking
soffites.
