Formerly house, then post office now house and cafe: dated 1823 with
C20 additions and alterations. Coursed, squared, buff, sandstone
rubble, Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge and 2 stone chimneys.
2-storey, 3 bay front. Windows in end bays in rough stone surrounds
are C20 3-light wooden casements. Central bay has C20 gabled porch in
front of segmentally arched rubble doorcase with raised imposts and
keystones. Ornate date tablet above reads JLH 1823. Small C20
extensions to right and left.
Interior: Has exposed sawn ceiling beams but no other original
features.
