Schoolhouse. c1860. Red Flemish bond brick with slate roof. Three
storeys with single storey classroom wings. Entrance front: Central
doorway with 4-centred arch in deep, faceted reveal with heavy
hood-mould which extends to the sides over two single light
Tudor-headed windows, one to either side. String course between
floors. Four-light first floor window with stone surround and
mullions and Tudor-headed lights. Second floor window of three Tudor
lights under heavy hood-mould. Gable above. Single storey additions
to left and right, each with three windows of three lights. Each have
two-light windows to their gable ends with single-light windows to
gables which have moulded bargeboards supported on brackets and
finials.
