G.V. II

Farmhouse, c.1840; altered, raised and extended late C19. Dressed
sandstone; Welsh slate roofs, older roofs in diminishing courses. Stone
ridge and gable copings and block kneelers. 2 storeys; 3-window entrance
front (west) to late C19 extension. Central 8-panel door and mullioned
overlight with glazing bars. Late C20 casements in original flat surrounds;
ground-floor windows have double keystones. 3-bay garden front (south); end
bays gabled, the left slightly projecting, with hip-roofed canted bay window
on ground floor. Older right bay has late C19 bay window with paired
openings and similar roof. Late C20 casements; sill and lintel bands to
right bay. Paired round-headed garret lights, now blocked, in left bay.
Plain surrounds to windows in middle and left bays. Ridge and end stacks.
Lower 2-storey extension adjoins right return. Interior: later
west extension has staircase with pulvinated string and bobbin balusters.
Timber and plastic greenhouse adjoining middle bay of garden front, is not
of special interest. Included for group value.
