7/63 War Memorial, to
W. of St.
Nicholas Church.

GV II

Tall tapered sandstone cross on rectangular pedestal Panelled
octagonal base on three octagonal steps. c.1920. The pedestal,
base and uppermost step carry bronze plaques bearing memorial
incriptions and the names of the dead of the 1914-1919 and
1939-1945 Wars. Bronze sword affixed to west face of cross.
Stone posts and iron chains enclose the memorial.
Included for group value with St. Nicholas' Church.
