Possibly late mediaeval. Possibly repaired and rebuilt continuously up to 1920,
when the mill ceased being used. Loose rubble retaining walls. The sluice gate
adjoining the mill has gone. The setting is improved if anything by the GWR viaduct
that crosses the northern part of the mill pond.
