House. Circa early C19. Rendered and painted stone rubble with asbestos slate roof
with hipped lower end on left and gabled higher end on right. 2 stone rubble chimney
stacks on right-hand gable end. Single depth plan, built into side of rock with 3-
storey elevation to front and 2-storey elevation to rear. Possibly originally stores
on ground floor.
Regular 3-window front. Ground floor with C20 cross window to left with glazing
bars, at centre a C20 2-light casement with glazing bars and C20 partly glazed door
adjoining. To right C20 part glazed plank stable type of door and small C20 window
to right. First floor with two 2-light casements with glazing bars in original
openings. Window to right C19. To right 3-light C20 casement in enlargened opening.
Above fenestration similar to first floor.
Interior not inspected.
C19 photographs illustrate 3-storey harbour elevation with three 2-light casements on
first and second floor and possibly openings to store on ground floor.
Included for group value with front elevation important for its contribution to
harbour scene.
