Farmhouse. Circa Cl7 much altered in C19. Shale rubble and dressed granite with
asbestos slate and scantle slate roofs and brick chimneys over gable ends. L
shaped on plan formed by rear wing. 2 storeys. 3 window asymmetrical front. To
right of centre breaks forward slightly in dressed granite and is possible the
remains of a lateral stack. Right hand corner also breaks forward as does rear
corner (range at right angles possibly removed). Late C19 sashes with vertical
glazing bars only. Plain doorway to left of centre with reused granite C17
fireplace jamb as doorstep. All ground floor openings have slight brick arches.
Roof over wing has been raised. Interior has wide straight flight stair probably
C18 and wide passage along back to first floor. Six C16 - C17 roof trusses survive
which originally had threaded purlins with halved, lapped and pegged collars with
spurs to prevent spreading. Top of bowtell moulded post and panel partition also
