TL 51 NE GREAT CANFIELD

Late C16 house, extended in C20. Timber-framed, plastered, roof thatched.
3 bays, with axial chimney stack at NW end of middle bay. C20 extension
to N. Single storey with attics, half-hipped at both ends, 3 pairs of C20
Gothick windows with arched heads, C20 door, no windows on upper floor.
Timber frame exposed internally in 2 SW bays. Curved tension bracing trenched
to inside of studs. Jowled storey posts. Stop-chamfered ceiling beams.
Collar-rafter roof.
