House. Cl7 or earlier, extended in early C19. Timber framed and brick, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 3-bay range facing E, and 2-bay wing to rear left with one axial stack, and single-storey extension in rear right angle forming a catslide with it, the whole forming an approximately rectangular plan. Early C19 entrance range to E, projecting at both ends beyond the earlier building, with 2 rear stacks of gault brick. Small single-storey lean-to extension in rear left angle, and C20 conservatory to left of it and entrance range. 2 storeys with attic. E elevation, ground floor, 2 late C19/early C20 splayed bays of French windows; first floor, 3 early C19 sashes of 16 lights with crown glass. Flush 6-panel door with plain overlight at front of central flat-roofed porch. Roof of entrance range hipped, rear wing half-hipped. External features of architectural value include a number of early C19 windows, some with crown glass, as follows: (1) S elevation, one sash of 16 lights on ground floor of middle range; N elevation (2) on ground floor of entrance range, one sash of 16 lights; (3) on first floor of middle range, one sash of 20 lights; W elevation, on first floor of entrance range (in rear right angle), one sash of 12 lights; (4) on first floor of rear wing, 2 horizontal sashes of 18 lights; (5) on attic floor of same, one casement. Access to interior refused, June 1985. Shown on Chapman and Andre's map of 1777 as Skinner's Wick.
