Grist mill. Probably C18 on earlier site. Stone rubble. Slate roof has been
replaced with corrugated asbestos.
Plan: Rectangular plan with remains of probably breast-shot wheel on left hand side
wall, operating two pairs of millstones.
Exterior: One storey and loft. C19 plank door in front. Remains of hybrid probably
breast shot wheel on left hand side, the timber paddles now gone. Right hand side is
attached to the millhouse (qv).
Interior: Machinery appears largely complete with the exception of a millstone. The
timber hurst frame is complete.
The machinery was partly obscured by logs and full inspection was not possible.
