Tombchest. 1740. In memory of the wife and children of William Avery of Tregeth;
Sarah died in 1740 aged 14 months, John in 1752 aged 8 years, Elizabeth in 1752 aged
4 years, John in 1754 aged 2 years, Mary in 1758 aged 23 years and Christian,
William's wife who died in 1759 aged 47 years. Slate-stone rubble chest with
rectangular slate lid. Inscription and verse in upper and lower case lettering with
serifs.
