Beam engine house and associated buildings. Circa early C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings.
Plan: unusually narrow rectangular plan engine house with central doorway in the
thicker (north) bob wall and round chimney at the rear. Thicker walls to about 2
thirds height possibly heightened later C19. Window openings high up in either side wall. Adjoining the right-hand side wall is a later C19 boiler house, and right of this a slightly later parallel workshop or dry. The additions are at a lower level and approached by a flight of granite steps outside the bob wall of the engine house. C19 machinery and floors removed. C20 iron windlass in front.
