metres north of Church of
St Phillack
GV II
3 chest tombs. Circa early C19. To Huthnance and King families. Dressed granite
chests, one with inscribed inset slate. All are rectangular on plan.
Chest on far north west corner of churchyard has sloping granite lid like a hipped
roof. Inscribed to John Huthnance tomb circa 1830 has moulded granite lid and
indecipherable inscription.
Chest immediately south has incised inscription to a slate inset to the lid : Thomas
King, died 1840 aged 53.
