GV II
House, roofless. C18. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Partly external stone
stack at left-hand (south) gable end.
Plan: small rectangular plan, now 1 room with large fireplace at the left hand end.
Originally probably 2 rooms with the lower right hand room unheated. Possibly
storage or sleeping space in original steep roof space. The survival of this simple
C18 building type in an unaltered form is unusual.
Exterior: single storey. Symmetrical 2 window east front with central doorway.
Small window at rear opposite doorway.
Interior: large fireplace at left-hand end with narrow recess at left and wide recess
at right.
Part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet set in the ancient field system of this part of
Cornwall.
