House. Early C18 with late C18 additions for the Brownrigg family. Painted
roughcast walls on chamfered plinth, under graduated greenslate roof with coped
gables and kneelers; roughcast chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 5 bays with 2-bay
extension to left under common roof, further small additions to sides and rear.
Double panelled doors in pilastered doorcase with pediment enclosing painted
figures and foliage. Sash windows with broad glazing bars in painted stone
surrounds. 2-storey canted-bay extension to left has similar windows. Recessed
side doorway to right in canted extension with similar sash windows. Rear has 2
gabled projections that to right with sash windows with glazing bars in
segmental-headed reveals. Panelled internal shutters to each window.
