II

Two houses,now a public house. Dated 1683 on window lintel of left house; right
house probably early C18, both with C19 alterations. Painted roughcast walls,
under graduated greenslate roof. Both houses 2 storeys, 2 bays, the right one
of higher roof line. Left house has off-centre C20 studded painted plank doors
and ground floor sash windows in C19 painted stone surrounds. Upper-floor fixed
casement windows in C17 chamfered surrounds. Small blocked firewindow on upper
floor left. Right house has central plank door up 3 steps. Sash windows in
painted stone surrounds; that on ground floor left C19 in enlarged surround, and
above it an C18 flat stone-mullioned window. Rear outshut and C20 single-storey
extension.
