Probably mostly C17, grey stone, gateway battlemented. Gatehouse Cottage adjoins
to west, long and low, two storeys, with three-light casement windows with flat --
stone mullions, and 12-paned sashes (C18 alterations). Castle Moat Cottage
adjoins farther to west, single storey, studded door, two 12-paned sash windows.
Both cottages are built into the C17 curtain wall.
