NY 33 SE MUNGRISDALE Low Mill

Farmhouse and adjoining barns. Late C17 with C19 alterations and rear additions
to barn dated and inscribed on quoin T.I.B. 1807. Whitewashed mixed limestone
and cobble rubble under graduated greenslate roof with stone chimney stacks. 2
storeys, 3 bays with 2-bay extension to left and L-shaped barn to right, all
under common roof. Central plank door and double sash window to left in C19
painted stone surrounds. Small casement window over entrance and other
Yorkshire sashes, all in original chamfered stone surrounds. Blocked fire
window to extreme left. Extension has plank door in stone surround and sash
windows in brick surrounds. Barn has plank door and loft openings. Lower
right-angled extension has chamfered door surround. Rear of house has
chamfered-surround windows in outshut. Interior has beamed ceiling, heck
partition and firebeam. Derelict and unoccupied at time of survey.
