Detached house. C17, C18 alterations. Coursed dressed limestone,
tiled roof, C20 brick stacks. U-plan, entrance is on The Barberry
in small courtyard enclosed on three sides. 2-storey, 1-window
front has C20 porch and door with 4-light recessed chamfered
mullioned window over, hipped dormer, flanking wings have 3-light
recessed mullioned windows to ground and first floors with
hoodmoulds to ground floors, fourth side of yard has good stone
walls with saddleback coping swept up to wings, ashlar gatepiers
have moulded capping and ball finials. Fronts of wings are
windowless, coped verges. Left return facing The Street has tall
4-light recessed chamfered window with hooldmould to right, 2-light
mullioned window to left, first floor has 2-light with hoodmould
and 4-light mullioned window to right, attic of main range to left
has single recessed chamfered light. Rear and right return have 1-
light, 2-light and 3-light mullioned windows, rear has two hipped
dormers.
