C18. Painted stucco rendering of early C19 date. 3 storeys. left hand
part taller, has 2 sash windows with glazing bars, carved segmental leads
with keystone. Band at keystone level on top floor. Cl9 shop. Centre part
has 2 sash windows, bands between the storeys, ground end.lst floor with
3-light sashed wood segmental bay. Bow on ground. 6-panel door set beck
to the right. Right hind part of 3 storeys, 2 segmental-headed sash windows
with keystones in cased Manes. Old coved fascia over modern window on
ground floor, sash window to the right. Pantile roofs. Has an important
position opposite No 27 Upgate at the entrance to the street, and together
frame the view of the Church spire from up the street. NMR.
Nos 16 to 32 (even) and former Black Bull P H form a group.
