Granary and drying kiln, now a house. Early C19. Red brick. Red pantiled west
range, grey slate hipped main range and kiln to east. One storey west (left)
range, 2 storey main (central) range and kiln (right). Left range with central
upper window with shutters and 2 vertically boarded doors. Central range, eaves
band, two 2 storeyed recessed arches each with segmental headed ground and
first floor windows. Central tall 2 light first floor window, C20 door with
hipped porch below this window. 4 tie plates. Former kiln with tall pyramidal
roof and timber windcowl. 2 light window to first floor front and return. C20
ground floor front and return windows. Similar recessed arches to river face.
Once used in association with the tide mill and a rare survival in Essex.
