Former stable block of No.7)

GV II

Coach house to former vicarage (No.7 qv), now house. Early
C19. Squared and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, slate
roof. A rectangular range, gable to street, with hipped
low-pitched roof.
The main front, facing S across a small courtyard, is in 2
storeys, with 4 windows; small 6-pane sashes in flush stone
surrounds, that to the left, over the entrance doorway, larger
than the remainder. At ground floor is a square opening with
wide plank doors, then a wide arched opening with flush
voussoirs and projecting keystone, on deep plain reveals, with
a lobby to 3 set-back doors. To the right of a 6-pane light is
a broad opening to segmental head and plain rebated reveals.
The gable to the road has a paired sash with stone mullion at
first floor, and, to the right, a plank door. Centred to the
ridge is a small leaded cupola on a low square base. A stack
to the rear eaves.
