House in row, with restaurant. Late C18 or early C19.
Rendered, with scribed front, slate roof.
A lofty 3 storeys and attic, 2-window frontage; lofty gabled
dormers with horizontal sliding sashes, above 12-pane sashes
in moulded flush boxes at second floor. Centred to the first
floor is a tripartite 12:12:12-pane oriel bow with dentilled
cornice, and to a sill band above a full-width band of
fishtail tilehanging. Ground floor has a full-width late C19
shop front, with a glazed door on 2 steps, left, and a 6-panel
door, right, with a painted-over fanlight, in a deep reveal
and on 2 steps. The display window has a circular centre
panel, and transom lights over; all under a flat canopy on
brackets. Moulded stone cornice, blocking and parapet coping
returned at ends; no stacks are visible; the right gable is
slate-hung. The rear is also parapeted, and has a central
16-pane sash with another, possibly to the staircase, lower
left; a pair of French doors gives to a flat-roofed extension.
