Farmhouse. Early-mid C18 with C19 additions and alterations including wing
to left. Pinkish-brown brick with red brick dressings and pantile roof.
Double range plan with servant's range to right and range to left. Main
range has 2 storeys, 3 bays. Quoins. Central entrance a glazed double door
with overlight within pilastered door-case with brackets supporting hood and
with segmental relieving arch of red rubbed brick. Canted bays to ground
floor with 12-pane sashes to centres and 8-pane sashes to sides. 4-course,
first-floor band. To first floor: 12-pane sashes with red brick quoined
jambs and under quoined segmental arches. Raised and stepped eaves. Ashlar
coping and kneeler. End stacks. Range to right has no openings to front
and ridge stack. Range to left of 2 storeys, 3 bays. End entrance a 6-
fielded-panel door with overlight with vertical glazing bars and within
door-case with brackets and hood. 12-pane sashes to ground floor, 4-pane
sashes to first floor under flat brick arches. Roof hipped to left side
stack. Interior has dog-leg staircase with rod-on-vase balusters and
wreathed handrail, and 6-panel doors.
