Milestone. Late C19. Ashlar with cast-iron plaque. Triangular on plan with semicircular head, approximately 1 metre high. Raised inscription painted black against white background: 'TADCASTER & DONCASTER / ROAD / TOWTON' around head, 'DONCASTER / 25 MILES / PONTEFRACT / 12 3/4 MILES / FERRYBRIDGE / 10 MILES' to north side, 'YORK / 11 3/4 MILES / TADCASTER / 2 1/4 MILES' to south side.
