Pair of cottages, now antiques showroom and workshop. Late C18 with C19
alteration. Coursed rubble sandstone, whitewashed to front with pantile
roof and brick stacks. Single cell, direct-entry plan. 2-storey, 4-bay
front, gable end on street. Re-used earlier panelled door to left of
centre: plank door to right of centre. 2-light, 12-pane horizontal sliding
sash to ground floor left, and large-pane replacement casement to right:
smaller similar window to first floor right. Thin timber lintels to all
openings. End stacks. Left gable wall: 2-light, horizontal sliding sashes
with timber lintels. Interior: both cottages retain boxed stairs to rear of
ground-floor room. A board spice cupboard door with H-L hinges survives in
cottage to right. Cottage to left has doors with H-L and butterfly hinges.
