Dovecote. Mid - late C18. Dressed sandstone with slate roof. Square on
plan, 2-storey tower. Plank stable door beneath triple-keyed lintel to
front. Roundel to upper storey. Raised bands to first floor and eaves
level. Pyramidal roof. Right return: lunette in tooled surround to upper
stage. Interior: ground floor has tunnel-vaulted roof with wooden trapdoor
giving access to upper storey, Pigeon loft in upper storey is lined with
brick and is said to contain nesting holes in all 4 walls.
