Circa 186l formerly 'the Belvidere' and later St Peter's School. Elizabethan
style. Irregular 4 bay range with belvedere at east end and recessed Dutch gabled
range with rear extensions; 1 bay return to West Park. 3 storeys, attics and
basement. Hipped slated roof, entrance bay with Dutch gable. Grit stone ashlar
with cornice and pierced parapet. Floor strings. Battlemented tourelle on corner.
4 storey belvedere with slated ogee roof and crested treatment to blocking course.
Battlemented stacks. Mostly 2 light windows; entrance bay with segmental bowed
window rising through 1st and 2nd floors and flankinglst floor bays with splayed
bay windows with quatrefoil pierced parapets and aprons. Gothic porte cochere
with 4 centred arched openings and enriched spandrels.
