Farmhouse and attached barn; now house, Post Office, garage and shop. c1800
with later alteration and extension. Squared limestone with brick eaves
course and irregular quoins; pantile roof with brick stacks, one rebuilt.
L-shaped on plan, with central-staircase plan to house; former barn to right
with lean-to outbuildings within the angle. House: 2-storey, 2-window
front. Central C20 door with 2-light casement to right; remaining windows
are 2-light, 24-pane horizontal sliding sashes. No openings in wall further
to right, which forms the end wall of former barn. End left and centre
right stacks. Post Office, shop and garage: 2-storey, 4-window front. Shop
front to left with C20 openings. Double boarded garage doors to right. 2-
light horizontal sliding sashes to first floor without glazing bars.
Painted stone sills to all windows. Painted wedge lintels to all ground-
floor openings, and painted timber lintels to first-floor windows. Included
for group value.
