A pair of lodges and 4 gateposts. Mid C18. Sandstone ashlar.
2 rectangular lodges on either side of road with 4 stone gateposts between.
Lodges: 1 storey, 1 bay. Keyed stone arches with band at impost level,
blind to sides, window to front and former doorway to rear. Moulded
cornice. Parapet. Roof missing. Gateposts: 2 survive almost complete, and
the base of a third, with fragments of the fourth scattered about.
Rectangular piers with oval medallion to front and rear, moulded capitals,
surmounted in one case by heavily damaged griffin rising from wreath. These
form the lodges and gateposts to Howsham Hall.
