Row of 4 cottages of several builds. Early C19 with later alterations.
Hammer-dressed limestone, pantile roof. 3 single-cell cottages and one
central-entry 2-cell cottage. 2 storeys, 5 first-floor windows. Third
house is 2-cell with straight joints to left and right. To left: C20 door
with casement to first cottage, and board door beneath keyed wedge lintel
with casement to second cottage. Third cottage: half-glazed door flanked by
2-light Yorkshire sashes. Fourth cottage: 6-fielded-panel door and 3-light
Yorkshire sash beneath common timber lintel. First floor: casements to
first and second cottage, 2-light Yorkshire sashes to third and fourth
cottages. Evidence for raising of eaves except to fourth cottage. End and
ridge stacks. Included for group value.
