C18. Third floor added later, probably in early C19. Former coaching inn.
White-washed brick. Four storeys. Modillioned and dentilled wooden eaves cornice.
Three bays: cased sashes: 2-storey canted bays with moulded wooden cornices on ground
and first floors. Six-panelled door and semi-circular fanlight in deep reveals, with
Tuscan ¾  columns taking entablature. Above this is suspended tne early or mid C18
flat moulded wooden hood, on moulded scrolled consoles. Above this is a unicorn in
relief, and above this again is a semi-circular board with "Posting House" in good C19
sans-serif capitals. Ground, first and second floor of rear have brick bands and
cased flush-framed sashes: 6 bays.
