School, now dwellings. Mid C19. Sandstone ashlar; Welsh slate roof with tiled
ridge and stone gable copings. Set-back end garages form reversed U-plan with
central rear range. Tudor style. One storey and attic, six bays. Six-panel
doors with tall, 2-pane, Tudor-arched overlights, under hoodmould in bays 2 and
5. Small-paned casements, those in outer bays with heads similar to doors,
those in inner bays with flattened ogee lintels. 4 corniced flat-headed dormers
above the windows, 2 small rooflights above the doors. Right return shows 4
15-pane sashes under flattened ogee arches on ground floor; 2 of them inserted;
and 2 inserted 9-pane sashes above. Right set-back end of rear range has tall
3-light stone-mullioned and transomed window; 3 slits in gable peak. Extruded
lean-to behind main range. Left return shows inserted 15- and 9-pane sashes
under plain lintels; and 5-light big window in end of rear range. Rear: 5 steps
to inserted paired glazed doors. Flanking 12-pane sashes.
