Milestone. Probably late C18 or early C19. Millstone grit. Post has rounded top.
Lightly-tooled surface. Inscribed at top are the Roman numerals: XX, indicating
Rotherham 20 miles.
The stone is situated on an old salt route from Cheshire and is about 5 metres
north of the present track on the Dunford/Langsett parish boundary.
