SE20NW GUNTHWAITE AND INGBIRCHWORTH GUNTHWAITE LANE (west side), Gunthwaite 2/32 Gunthwaite Hall (part to west) 25.2.52 GV II Farmhouse. C17 origin, predominantly late C18 or early C19. Coursed, squared rubble, stone slate roof. L-shape plan. Two storeys. Entrance front is symmetrical and of 3 bays. Central 4-panel door with overlight in large quoined surround. 4-pane sashes in plain surrounds. Hipped roof. Later brick stack to right. Rear: the projecting wing to the left has a 2-storey bow which has Venetian window to ground floor with glazing bars, and plain casement window to 1st floor. To the right of the bow is an entrance with quoined ovolo-moulded surround and to 1st floor a 2-light double-chamfered mullion window. The rear wall of the main house has 2 bays of large sashes, 16-pane to ground floor and 12-pane to 1st floor. The house is attached to the west part (q.v.) by a single-storey link block.
