Public House. c1600 or earlier. Front of C19 appearance. Timber framed, brick clad.
Slate roof. Late C19 canted bays and entrance with 2 pairs of sash windows under
gables above. Interior: Inglenook beam with quarter round moulding and panelling to
front room. To upper floor square framing with jowled posts and arch braces, stout
scantlings, one heavy arched tie beam. 3 roofs, one of green strut type, one with 2
levels of purlins and one with upper crucks. Early C17 staircase with stout turned
balusters and acorn finials.
