INGLEBY ARNCLIFFE INGLEBY CROSS NZ 40 SW West side 8/72 House to north- west of Post Office II GV

House and part of neighbour to south-east, now all one dwelling, probably early C19. Coursed tooled sandstone; pantiled roof with stone copings, kneelers and stacks.

2 storeys, 2 and 1 bays. In left part an off-centre 6-panel door of Victorian type in small gabled timber porch. 16-pane sashes in box frames under heavy lintels on ground floor, those on first floor replaced; all with projecting stone cills. Gable copings at both ends and a left end stack. Right bay has replaced 12-pane sashes in wood architraves with stone cills. Coping and chimney to left.
