Detached house, formerly two cottages and carpenters shop. C17.
Coursed squared and dressed limestone. Stone slate roof. Long
rectangular plan with a small projecting gable at the centre;
lean-to projection to the left of the latter. l½ storeys. Four
C20 rendered eaves roof dormers all with C20 two-light metal
casements. Two-light hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned casements
with stopped hood to first floor of the projecting gable. The
right-hand side of this casement has early leaded panes. Three
large 2-light C20 metal casements and two smaller, possibly C19
casements to the ground floor. All windows with leaded panes. C20
plank door with fillets right of the projecting gable. C20 flat
canopy supported on brackets over door. Axial and gable-end stack.
The gable end stack retains its moulded capping and skirting; the
other two stacks are restored with squared-off cappings and
skirtings.
