1784 by Sir John Soane. A small rectangular brick building with fine ashlar
facade with parapet and cornice and advanced 3-bay centre with 4 Ionic engaged
columns supporting pediment containing medallion and garlands. Between the
columns a central glazed door with large semi-circular traceried fanlight
with keyblock. To left and right between columns tall straight-headed windows
with square lights above. Moulded string course continues over similar windows
in flanking bays but without lights above.
Interior: coffered segmental vaulted ceiling with modillion cornice. Alcove
at each end with coffered vault.
Iron railings to paved area in front. Illustrated in Soane's "Plans Elevations
and Sections of buildings in Norfolk, Suffolk etc". 1788.
