Large detached house. Late C16 or C17. Coursed limestone rubble, stone slate roof. Original building an L-plan with return to road side, this has two coped cross-gables; behind and to right a coped gabled parallel range for part width, and adjoining the road a second similar but loftier unit with roof swept down to lean-to. Front to valley is two and a half storeys, three-windows, two to three-light hollow chamfer stone mullioned casements to stopped hoods, C20 plank door and to right of this a four-light casement. To road is gable beyond hipped return of main block; two, over three, over three-light. At back the range to left is two storeys, two-windowed, three-light casements, and the main block is fenestrated as the front; gables at far end, away from road have single or two-light casements. The wing by the road has, towards the inner courtyard a two-light to gable over three-light at ground and first floors, and two singles in the swept extension plus plank door under chamfered square headed opening to deep lintel. Most windows have arched heads to the lights and leading, and carved sink triangular spandrel detail. One gable and three ridge stacks. The interior not inspected, but substantially modified.
