ST 50 SE RAMPISHAM UPHALL

3/150 Uphall Cottage (formerly
11.ll.60 listed as Lower Farm)

GV II

Detached Cottage. Late C18. Coursed rubble-stone walls. Slate
roof, with stone gable-copings and moulded kneelers. C19 brick
stacks at gable-ends, with dog-tooth cornices. Two storeys. 3
windows, 3-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing-bars,
2-light over front door. Wooden cills, and lintels, C19. Front
door at centre, plank in a wooden frame, with one glass light,
C19. Brick outbuilding at left hand end, in Flemish bond with
burnt headers, Hipped slate roof. C20 plank door on front
wall. The C20 brick addition on right hand end is not of
special interest.
