GV II

Large house. Early-mid C17 extended slightly C19-early C20 at the
rear. Random limestone with dressed stone quoins; stone slate
roof; ashlar stacks (one restored C20). Rectangular plan to main
body with stairs projection at centre at rear; C19-early C20
extension rear left. C20 porch on the south-west, not of special
interest. Two storeys and attic. Symmetrical, 3-windowed facade
lit by C20 two-light wooden casements with concrete lintels. The
windows to the ground and first floors were formerly 3-light (with
the exception of that over the porch). Central C20 part-glazed
door with glazing bars with a C20 gabled stone-built porch with a
pointed-arched entrance. Stairs projection at the rear with
blocked doorway at the bottom to the first and second floors;
blocked single light window with a rebated surround towards the
apex of the gable. Projecting gable-end stack.
Interior: beams with deep flat chamfers and ogee stops; open
fireplace with bressumer beam.
