Two Hoots

Four estate cottages, now converted to 2 dwellings. Probably 1841. Square
tooled stone with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings; Welsh slate roof.
Each cottage single storey, 4 bays. Renewed half-glazed doors in end bays;
small-paned casements, in 2-light mullioned windows and in part-blocked
doorways with flattened 4-centred heads within square frames. Gables with
pitched coping on moulded kneelers at ends and between cottages; end gables
have finials; each cottage has central stepped-and-corniced ridge stack.
Formerly called Widows' Row. Included for group value.
Altered rear outshuts are not of special interest.
