2/78 Water conduit c12m north of the
entrance to the churchyard

Former fountain erected in memory of Edward Holland died 1875,
(q.v. Dumbleton Hall) as indicated by a brass plaque on the north
side. Limestone and sandstone. Square base comprising two steps
with four corner stones. Flat-chamfered square plinth to
fountain, two courses of rock-faced limestone above; semi-circular
bowl projects out from the north side; stone projection below with
decorated circular brass spout; small stone trough on the east
side; small convex pyramidal feature at centre under a square
open-sided canopy with pointed arches, 4 circular columns and a
pyramidal stone top. Brass plaque on the north side with
inscription 'ERECTED / IN MEMORY OF / EDWARD HOLLAND / BY HIS OLD
FRIENDS / W. McINROY / J. A. WEGWOOD / C.R. RAWLINSON / G. RANDALL
/ R. AND M. WEGWOOD'.
